Our work in Uganda is only possible because of our generous sponsors, whose regular donations enable us to commit to the responsible, long-term care of children at risk.
We are here to answer your questions about how to become a sponsor and change children's lives.
What is scholarship
A child scholarship is a recurring financial donation made by an individual, organisation or company, in which the funds are set aside for the specific purpose of supporting the children at Change Tomorrow Primary School on a long-term basis.
Can I choose a child I sponsor?
Although you cannot choose a specific child, you are welcome to inform us about any wishes concerning age, gender and we will do our best to fulfil your requests.
How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
The cost to sponsor a child through Change Tomorrow child scholarship program is only £50 per month.
Will my child write to me?
Your child will write to you at least once a year — at the end of the year. A teacher or staff person will help children who have yet to learn how to read and write.
Do I have to write to my sponsored child?
While we encourage each of our sponsors to write to their sponsored child, you are not required to send letters. Even if you don’t write your sponsored child, your child will write you at least once per year.
Change Tomorrow understands letter writing can be a time-consuming process and strives to make your writing experience as easy as possible. We offer both printed and online letter templates for your convenience.
How long does my scholarship last?
Taking on a scholarship is a voluntary commitment and not a binding contract. Our Child Scholarship Program offers you the opportunity to stay with a child for a number of years, usually through the school year in which the child reaches the age of 18 to 22. While we hope that you will be able to continue your support of your sponsored child until he or she completes the program, we recognize that circumstances sometimes change. You may discontinue your child scholarship at any time.
Please understand that a sponsored child's circumstances may change, too. For example, sometimes families move beyond the reach of our program and children no longer have the opportunity to participate.
We will inform you as quickly as possible if any such circumstance affects the child you sponsor, and we'll offer you the opportunity to support another child in need of your help.
What do I do if I am considering cancelling my scholarship?

What does my donation cover?
School fees, two meals a day, school and sports uniform, school equipment, basic medical care, drinkable water, social worker, holiday packages.
Does each child have only one sponsor?
Yes. As long you meet the minimum requirement of £50 per month you will be the only sponsor. There may be certain boarding secondary, or university students who may have more than one sponsor simply because the contribution needed is too high for just one sponsor. But you will know if this is the case at the time of your sponsorship.
How old do you have to be to sponsor a child?
There is no age limit to sponsor a child. Whether you are 1 or 100, all are welcome!
